The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 44 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.3 patients per 100,000 population/week (data as of Wednesday, June 8, 2022).
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 0.83 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong (3.12 patients per 100,000 population/week), Jayapura City (1.29 patients per 100,000 population/week), Madiun City (1.12 patients per 100,000 population/week), Palangkaraya City (1.01 patients per 100,000 population/week), and Karimun (0.83 patients per 100,000 population/week).
National Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Nine districts/cities recorded higher daily inpatient utilization than before, while three districts/cities recorded lower utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Sorong (3.12 patients per 100,000 population/week), Jayapura City (1.29 patients per 100,000 population/week), and Palangkaraya City (1.01 patients per 100,000 population/week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
