The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least one regency/city has a weekly BOR above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 3.29 percent. This average is higher than last week's 2.87 percent, based on data from Saturday, August 6, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BOR above 36.89 percent are Fakfak, Barito Selatan, Banjarbaru City, Manggarai Timur, and Banjar, with values of 100 percent, 54.24 percent, 41.04 percent, 37.5 percent, and 36.89 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national COVID-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java. 84 regencies/cities recorded a higher daily BOR than before, while 47 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Barito Selatan, and Banjarbaru City, with BORs of 100 percent, 54.24 percent, and 41.04 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
