West Papua Province's first dose vaccination coverage reached 56.3 percent on Saturday, August 13, 2022. This figure is equivalent to 515,710 vaccine recipients out of a target of 915,920 people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 40.85 percent of the target as of yesterday.
Based on the target groups, the details of the vaccination to prevent the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: the health workforce group with a target of 8,564 participants. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 8,564 people (126.2 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 116.63 percent or 9,988 people were vaccinated.
Vaccination for public officials targeted 116,330 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 73,930 people (63.55 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 55.21 percent, or 64,230 people.
Then, vaccination for the elderly targeted 50,830 people. For the first dose, it has been given to 16,520 people (32.49 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 24 percent or 12,200 people have been vaccinated.
Vaccination for the vulnerable general public targeted 493,760 people. For the first dose, vaccination has reportedly been given to 306,000 people (64.22 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 45.34 percent or 213,650 people have been vaccinated.
Another target group is adolescents aged 12-17 years. In this region, the target set is 127,910 people. For the first dose, 71,150 people have been vaccinated (55.62 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 38.11 percent or 48,750 people have been vaccinated.
