The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 115 districts/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.08 per 100,000 population per week as of Saturday, December 10, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest agglomeration death rates due to COVID-19, exceeding 1.32 per 100,000 population per week, are Belitung Timur, Kotamobagu City, Sukamara, Sitaro, and Sumba Tengah, with respective rates of 1.53, 1.49, 1.49, 1.48, and 1.32 per 100,000 population per week.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in the agglomeration death rate due to COVID-19 in most districts/cities outside Java. Seven districts/cities recorded higher daily agglomeration death rates due to COVID-19 than previously, while 12 districts/cities recorded lower rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to COVID-19 include Belitung Timur, Kotamobagu City, and Sukamara, with rates of 1.53, 1.49, and 1.49 per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
