The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 89 regencies/cities with an agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 exceeding the national average, currently recorded at 0.05 deaths per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, December 23, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.87 deaths per 100,000 population per week, are Belitung (1.56 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Sitaro (1.48 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Pariaman City (1.08 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Tomohon City (0.91 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Belu (0.87 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. The daily agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19 exceeding previous figures was recorded in 16 regencies/cities, while eight regencies/cities recorded a lower agglomeration death rate due to Covid-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest agglomeration death rates due to Covid-19 include Belitung (1.56 deaths per 100,000 population per week), Sitaro (1.48 deaths per 100,000 population per week), and Pariaman City (1.08 deaths per 100,000 population per week).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
