The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that as of Thursday, February 23, 2023, 69.94 million doses of booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia. This figure represents 29.81 percent of the national Covid-19 vaccination target of 234.66 million doses.
West Java remains the province with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients nationwide, with 15.81 million doses administered. Within West Java, Bogor Regency had the highest number of booster vaccine recipients with 1.63 million doses, followed by Bandung Regency (1.11 million), Bekasi City (1.01 million), Bekasi Regency (1 million), Cianjur Regency (931,640), and Bandung City (914,160).
East Java is second nationally with 9.54 million booster doses administered. Surabaya City had the highest number of recipients within East Java, with 1.33 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.7 million booster doses administered, followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten with 5.43 million, 4.29 million, and 3.06 million doses respectively.
