Top 10 Regencies/Cities in Indonesia with the Highest COVID-19 Hospital Bed Occupancy Rate (Wednesday, June 22, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 119 districts/cities with Bed Occupancy Rates (BOR) above the national average, currently at 1.37 percent (data as of Wednesday, June 22, 2022).

The top five districts/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 22.22 percent are Manggarai Timur (37.5 percent), Malinau (34.29 percent), Balangan (23.08 percent), Sorong (22.73 percent), and Sitaro (22.22 percent).

A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 32 districts/cities, while 60 districts/cities recorded a lower BOR.

Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Manggarai Timur (37.5 percent), Malinau (34.29 percent), and Balangan (23.08 percent).

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
