The COVID-19 positivity rate in DKI Jakarta continues to decline. Based on data from the DKI Jakarta COVID-19 Task Force as of October 2, 2021, the positivity rate of residents infected with the coronavirus in the capital city has reached 0.7%.
Over the past week, the average COVID-19 positivity rate in Jakarta was recorded at 0.8%. This is lower than the average positivity rate the previous week, which was 0.9%, and the rate from last month (August 27 - September 2, 2021) of 3.2%.
Not only the positivity rate, but the bed occupancy rate (BOR) in DKI Jakarta has also decreased. The Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, stated that the hospital BOR in Jakarta reached 8% on September 30, 2021.
Although the COVID-19 positivity rate in the capital city has continued to decline, the public still needs to pay attention to health protocols. This is because COVID-19 cases in DKI Jakarta increased by 127 cases on October 3, 2021.
Therefore, the public is still urged to diligently implement the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. In addition, the public is also expected to avoid crowds and reduce mobility.
