Several districts/cities in Maluku province still record relatively low vaccination rates compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include West Seram Regency, East Seram Regency, and Central Maluku Regency.
As of Tuesday, January 18, 2022, these three regencies had only completed 263,590 first doses of the vaccine, out of a target of 594,980 vaccine recipients.
West Seram Regency has the lowest vaccination rate. As of yesterday, this region has only achieved a 39.5% vaccination rate, the lowest among the 11 districts/cities. The vaccination program in this regency targets 159,880 participants. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 1,105 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 36,206 doses.
Next is East Seram Regency, which has the second-lowest vaccination rate. With a target of 102,560 vaccine recipients, only 40.8% or 41,821 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 488 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is 11,274 doses.
Central Maluku Regency is third. With a target of 332,540 vaccine recipients, 47.7% or 158,570 participants have been vaccinated. The average weekly vaccination rate last week was 1,589 participants. The available vaccine stock is 60,738 doses.
At the provincial level, Maluku has achieved a 62.97% first-dose vaccination rate, covering 892,660 vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate is 31.57%, reaching 447,520 vaccine recipients.
