The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 110 districts/cities with weekly tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 2.18 percent as of Sunday, October 16, 2022.
The top five districts/cities with tracing rates exceeding 22 percent are Surabaya City, Demak, Mojokerto City, East Jakarta City, and Mojokerto Regency, with values of 32.5 percent, 23 percent, 22.8 percent, 22.49 percent, and 22 percent respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in tracing rates in most districts/cities outside Java. A higher-than-previous daily tracing rate was recorded in 13 districts/cities, while four districts/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Karimun, Konawe, and Mataram City, with tracing rates of 20 percent, 17 percent, and 16.5 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
