The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 47 regencies/cities with weekly agglomeration inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.46 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 1.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Magelang City, Bangka Regency, Yogyakarta City, Sleman Regency, and Kulon Progo Regency, with values of 1.64 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.4 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 0 regencies/cities, while 13 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Bangka Regency, Pontianak City, and Tarakan City, with inpatient utilization rates of 1.45 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.19 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
