The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 78 districts/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 0.82 per 100,000 population/week, data as of Sunday, June 19, 2022.
The top five districts/cities with the highest confirmed positive cases, exceeding 14.84 per 100,000 population/week, are Teluk Bintuni, South Jakarta, Bekasi City, South Tangerang City, and Bekasi Regency, each with 18.8 per 100,000 population/week, 14.84 per 100,000 population/week, 14.84 per 100,000 population/week, 14.84 per 100,000 population/week, and 14.84 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows a decrease in confirmed positive cases in most districts/cities outside Java. Twelve districts/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 21 districts/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive cases include Teluk Bintuni, South Sorong, and Fakfak, with confirmed positive cases of 18.8 per 100,000 population/week, 9.85 per 100,000 population/week, and 8.48 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
