PeduliLindungi Detects 1,625 People Positive for Covid-19 Active in Public Spaces

The Ministry of Health recorded that 1,625 individuals who tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus were still active in public spaces as of September 6, 2021. This is because they were flagged as "black" status in the monitoring conducted through the PeduliLindungi application.

PeduliLindungi uses a four-tiered system: green, yellow, red, and black. The "black" status indicates individuals who have tested positive for coronavirus or have been in close contact with infected patients.

Of these 1,625 individuals with "black" status, 1,464 were detected in the trade sector. Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono stated that the majority of them were individuals attempting to enter shopping malls.

Furthermore, 115 individuals with "black" status were detected in office or factory areas, and 31 were observed in tourist locations.

Fifteen individuals with "black" status were also detected in transportation modes. Meanwhile, no individuals with "black" status were found in religious or educational areas.

Considering this data, Dante reminded the public to remain vigilant against the spread of coronavirus in public spaces. He emphasized the importance of consistently adhering to the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap.
