Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Coverage of First Dose Elderly Vaccination (Sunday, March 13, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that 281 regencies/cities have a first-dose elderly vaccination rate above the national average, currently recorded at 69.34 percent (data as of Sunday, March 13, 2022).

The five top regencies/cities with first-dose elderly vaccination coverage exceeding 124.9 percent are Solok City (173.05 percent), Central Jakarta City (167.99 percent), Bukittinggi City (155.87 percent), Padang Panjang City (149.22 percent), and Yogyakarta City (124.9 percent).

A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that first-dose elderly vaccination coverage in most regencies/cities outside Java is increasing. Daily first-dose elderly vaccination coverage higher than before was recorded in 190 regencies/cities, while 171 regencies/cities recorded lower coverage.

Areas outside Java with the highest first-dose elderly vaccination coverage include Solok City (173.05 percent), Bukittinggi City (155.87 percent), and Padang Panjang City (149.22 percent).

The government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
