The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that at least two regencies/cities have a Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 2.5 percent. This is a decrease compared to last week's figure of 2.75 percent, data as of Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 37.5 percent are Musi Rawas Utara, Fakfak, Bima, Muna, and Manggarai Timur, with values of 100 percent, 100 percent, 48.98 percent, 45 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 40 regencies/cities, while 42 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Musi Rawas Utara, Fakfak, and Bima, with BORs of 100 percent, 100 percent, and 48.98 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
