The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that 22 regencies/cities have weekly agglomeration tracing rates above the national average, currently recorded at 0.5 percent as of Thursday, February 9, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 16.95 percent are Surabaya City, Sidoarjo, Malang City, Central Jakarta City, and South Jakarta City, with values of 22.75 percent, 22.75 percent, 17 percent, 16.95 percent, and 16.95 percent respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily tracing figures higher than before were recorded in two regencies/cities, while four regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Musi Rawas Utara, Palembang City, and Sinjai, with tracing rates of 13 percent, 10 percent, and 6 percent respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
