The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 70 regencies/cities with a number of deaths due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.05 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, September 9, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest number of deaths due to Covid-19, exceeding 0.93 per 100,000 population per week, are Minahasa Tenggara, Tomohon City, Padang Panjang City, Magelang City, and Pangkal Pinang City, with respective values of 3.74 per 100,000 population per week, 1.81 per 100,000 population per week, 1.77 per 100,000 population per week, 1.64 per 100,000 population per week, and 0.93 per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the number of deaths due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. The number of daily deaths due to Covid-19 higher than before was recorded in two regencies/cities, while five regencies/cities recorded a lower number of deaths due to Covid-19.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of deaths due to Covid-19 include Minahasa Tenggara, Tomohon City, and Padang Panjang City, with respective death rates of 3.74 per 100,000 population per week, 1.81 per 100,000 population per week, and 1.77 per 100,000 population per week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
