The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least two regencies/cities have a Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 2.56 percent. This is a decrease compared to last week's figure of 2.78 percent, data as of Sunday, January 22, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with COVID-19 BOR exceeding 37.5 percent are Musi Rawas Utara, Fakfak, Bima, Muna, and Manggarai Timur, with values of 100 percent, 100 percent, 48.98 percent, 45 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 26 regencies/cities, while 92 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Musi Rawas Utara, Fakfak, and Bima, with BORs of 100 percent, 100 percent, and 48.98 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
