At that time, Ternate's air quality was categorized as good, meaning pollutant levels in the air were very minimal. Bengkulu was second with an air quality index of 8, followed by Balikpapan in third place with an index of 36.

* 101-200: Unhealthy
* 201-300: Very Unhealthy
* 300+: Hazardous
This means that on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023, at 5:00 PM WIB, cities with good air quality were Ternate, Bengkulu, Balikpapan, Serang, and Malang. The other five cities—Tanjung Pinang, Solo, Palembang, Ambon, and Padang—had moderate air quality.
