Several districts/cities in West Sulawesi Province still record a relatively low second-dose vaccination rate compared to other regions. Some of these districts/cities include Polewali Mandar Regency, Majene Regency, and Mamuju Tengah Regency.
As of yesterday's data, in the vaccination program, these three regions have only completed 253,880 second doses out of the expected target of 603,560 vaccine recipients.
Polewali Mandar Regency is ranked first in terms of low vaccination rates. As of yesterday, the second-dose vaccination rate in this region was only 41.64%. This is the lowest compared to the other six districts/cities. The first-dose vaccination rate, however, has reached 72.55%, with 425,360 vaccine recipients.
The vaccination program in this district/city targets 370,050 participants. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Polewali Mandar last week was 4,432 participants. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 99,583 doses.
Next is Majene Regency. For the second dose, this region has the second-lowest rate. With a target of 130,260 vaccine recipients, only 42.68% or 55,598 recipients have been vaccinated.
The first-dose vaccination rate has reached 73.41%, with 152,670 vaccine recipients. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Majene last week was 1,221 participants. The currently available vaccine stock is 18,400 doses.
Mamuju Tengah Regency is ranked third. With a target of 103,240 vaccine recipients, only 42.82% or 44,213 recipients have received the second dose. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the average weekly vaccination rate in Mamuju Tengah last week was 460 participants. The currently available vaccine stock is 14,874 doses.
At the provincial level, the total first-dose vaccination rate in West Sulawesi has reached 90.78%, with 4.39 million vaccine recipients. The second-dose vaccination rate has reached 62.67%, covering 3.03 million vaccine recipients.
