The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 66 regencies/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 1.75 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
The five regencies/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 7.38 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Sorong, Magelang City, Banjar, Palangkaraya City, and Manokwari, with respective values of 13.53 patients per 100,000 population/week, 11.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.44 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.38 patients per 100,000 population/week.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient utilization in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. Daily inpatient utilization higher than before was recorded in 21 regencies/cities, while 34 regencies/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Sorong, Banjar, and Palangkaraya City, with respective inpatient utilization rates of 13.53 patients per 100,000 population/week, 8.48 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 7.44 patients per 100,000 population/week.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
