The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 37 districts/cities with weekly hospital inpatient use above the national average, currently recorded at 1.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Saturday, July 16, 2022.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient use, exceeding 5.26 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Central Jakarta, Denpasar, South Jakarta, Palangkaraya, and West Jakarta, with respective values of 12.15 patients per 100,000 population/week, 7.27 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.85 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.41 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 5.26 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows that inpatient use in most districts/cities outside Java has decreased. Nine districts/cities recorded higher daily inpatient use than before, while 13 districts/cities recorded lower inpatient use.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient use include Denpasar, Palangkaraya, and Kaimana, with inpatient use of 7.27 patients per 100,000 population/week, 5.41 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 4.51 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
