The Indonesian Political Charter Institute released the results of a survey entitled *Social and Political Preferences of the Public in 2022*. The survey results show a decline in public satisfaction with the government of President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
Public satisfaction began to decline in February 2022, with a percentage of 65.3%. Then, in the latest April 2022 survey, only 62.9% of respondents reported being satisfied with the government's performance.
In November 2021, public satisfaction with the government's performance had increased from the previous survey, reaching 70.1%, as shown in the graph.
In January 2022, public satisfaction increased again, reaching 71.7%. This figure is also the highest in the last two years since February 2020.
By region, the highest public satisfaction with government performance was in Bali, West Nusa Tenggara & East Nusa Tenggara, followed by Central Java & Yogyakarta, and East Java.
Meanwhile, the lowest level of public satisfaction with government performance was in Sumatra, Kalimantan, and DKI Jakarta & Banten.
This survey was conducted from April 10-17, 2022, through direct face-to-face interviews. The sample size was 1,220 respondents spread across 34 provinces.
The method used was multistage random sampling with a margin of error of approximately 2.83% at a 95% confidence level.
