The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 166 regencies/cities with a contact tracing rate (ratio of close contacts/confirmed cases/week) above the national average, currently recorded at 4.85 percent (data as of Wednesday, February 23, 2022). Five regencies/cities had the highest tracing rates, exceeding 24.06 percent: Pacitan (52.03 percent), Mahakam Ulu (46 percent), Sampang (40.6 percent), West Lombok (33.78 percent), and Lamongan (24.06 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that contact tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java is declining. However, 100 regencies/cities recorded higher daily tracing rates than before, while 120 regencies/cities showed lower rates.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include Mahakam Ulu (46 percent), West Lombok (33.78 percent), and Metro City (21.73 percent).
The government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
