The top five, starting with the highest weekly suspect testing percentage, are Simalungun (91.16%), Padang Lawas (86.6%), Mandailing Natal (82.94%), Tidore Islands City (81.32%), and Pidie (79%).
Simalungun ranks first. With a population of 877,710, its weekly suspect testing percentage is 91.16 percent. The latest positive rate is 7.64 percent. The positive rate in this region has decreased compared to the previous week.
Next is Padang Lawas. The population is 305,310. In efforts to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly suspect testing percentage is 86.6 percent. The positive rate in this region is 0 percent, a decrease from the previous week.
Meanwhile, the weekly suspect testing percentage in Mandailing Natal is 82.94 percent, 81.32 percent in Tidore Islands City, and 79 percent in Pidie.
Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 158 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported higher weekly suspect testing percentages than before. Meanwhile, 182 other regencies/cities recorded lower weekly suspect testing percentages compared to the previous week.
