Today's COVID-19 Provincial Data Update: Jakarta Records Highest Increase (Sunday, April 10, 2022)

Indonesia today recorded an additional 1,071 Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 6.03 million as of Sunday, April 10, 2022. The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are DKI Jakarta, West Java, Banten, East Java, and Central Java.

1. DKI Jakarta recorded an increase of 370 cases

DKI Jakarta is ranked first. The increase in cases here was recorded at 370 cases, or a 0.03 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total, which had reached 1.24 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in DKI Jakarta is now 1.24 million.

Unfortunately, in addition to recording a high number of new cases, DKI Jakarta also recorded three deaths. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in DKI Jakarta has reached 15,209. The seven-day positive rate in DKI Jakarta is 4.49 percent, while the Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) for Covid-19 hospitals is reported to be five percent.

2. West Java recorded an increase of 233 cases

West Java is ranked second. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 233 cases. The seven-day positive rate in this region is recorded at 2.97 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 88.01 per week.
3. Banten recorded an increase of 104 cases

The third highest increase in cases is in Banten. In this province, the increase in cases today was 104 cases, or a 0.04 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total, which was recorded at 291,020. The seven-day positive rate is at 3.56 percent, and the BOR for Covid-19 hospitals is reported to be five percent.
4. East Java recorded an increase of 81 cases

The fourth highest increase in cases is in East Java. In this province, the increase in cases today was 81 cases, or a 0.01 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total, which was recorded at 574,490.

7. North Sumatra recorded an increase of 24 cases
