The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded an average of 0.53 deaths per 100,000 people per week in Bali due to COVID-19, data updated as of Friday, August 5, 2022. This figure is higher than the national average, which currently stands at 0.03 deaths per 100,000 people per week.
Gianyar is the regency with the highest number of COVID-19 deaths, at 1.14 per 100,000 people per week. The number of COVID-19 deaths in this regency has not improved, showing an increase compared to the previous week, which recorded 0.57 deaths per 100,000 people per week.
The same condition occurred in Klungkung, which recorded 1.1 COVID-19 deaths per 100,000 people per week. In this regency, the number of COVID-19 deaths is also higher than the previous week, which reported zero COVID-19 deaths. Bangli follows, recording 0.87 COVID-19 deaths per 100,000 people per week.
Tabanan and Jembrana follow, recording 0.44 and 0.35 COVID-19 deaths per 100,000 people per week, respectively.
Nationally, the average number of COVID-19 deaths across the 34 provinces is now showing a decrease compared to the previous week, which was 0.03 deaths per 100,000 people per week.
