The number of people in Bangka Belitung Islands who have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has reached 1.12 million.

As of Saturday, August 13, 2022, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination coverage in Bangka Belitung Islands Province has reached 87.45 percent. This equates to 1.12 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 1.28 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 74.46 percent of the target.

Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce group had a target of 11,100 participants. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully carried out for 11,100 people (126.71 percent of the target), and for the second dose, 124.68 percent or 13,840 people were vaccinated.

For public service personnel, the target was 89,570 people. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 117,320 people (130.98 percent of the target), and the second dose reached 122.56 percent, or 109,780 people.

For the elderly, the target was 95,860 people. For the first dose, it was administered to 77,200 people (80.53 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 67.15 percent, or 64,370 people, were vaccinated.

For the vulnerable general public, the target was 789,860 people. For the first dose, vaccination was reportedly administered to 623,600 people (79.55 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 65.93 percent, or 516,340 people, were vaccinated.

Another target group was adolescents aged 12-17 years. The target in this region was 151,430 people. For the first dose, 146,870 people were vaccinated (96.98 percent of the target). For the second dose, only 86.22 percent, or 130,560 people, were vaccinated.
