Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Percentage of Suspect Examinations per Week (Friday, February 25, 2022)

To suppress the spread of Covid-19 in regions, currently 205 regencies/cities are aggressively conducting weekly suspect examination percentages above the national average. Data as of Friday, February 25, 2022, shows the national average examination rate at 19.85 percent. This suspect examination data is calculated based on the number of suspected individuals and close contacts compared to the number of people examined in each region, which is then reported to the Ministry of Health.

The top five, starting from the highest weekly suspect examination percentage, are Pangandaran (77.26%), Tana Tidung (68.31%), Ende (63.54%), Dairi (62.85%), and Samosir (62.45%).

Pangandaran is ranked first. With a population of 407,350, the weekly suspect examination percentage here is recorded at 77.26 percent. The latest positive rate is 7.17 percent. The positive rate in this region increased compared to the previous week's ratio.

Next is Tana Tidung. The population in this region is recorded at 30,725. In an effort to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, the weekly suspect examination percentage is 68.31 percent. Meanwhile, the positive rate in this region is recorded at 25.16 percent, or higher than the previous week's percentage.

Then, Ende recorded 63.54 percent examination, Dairi with a population of 286,240, recorded a weekly suspect examination percentage of 62.85 percent, and Samosir recorded 62.45 percent.

Anticipating the impact of Omicron in various regions, based on the recapitulation of national Covid data, there are 344 regencies/cities in Indonesia that actively report a higher daily weekly suspect examination percentage than before.
