This statue was officially opened in 2018 and is dedicated to Vallabhbhai "Sardar" Patel, a leader of the Indian independence movement. Built at a cost of Rp 6 trillion, it is officially the tallest statue in the world.
2. Spring Temple Buddha, China (153 Meters)
The Spring Temple Buddha was completed in 2008. This statue is made of 108 kg of gold, 3,300 tons of copper, and 15,000 tons of steel. It is located in a remote area of the Fodushan Scenic Area, Henan Province.
3. Laykyun Sekkya, Myanmar (116 Meters)
Located in Myanmar, this statue was built from 1996 to 2008. Its impressive height and unique design attract many local and international tourists.
4. Ushiku Daibutsu, Japan (100 Meters)
Located in Ibaraki, Japan, Ushiku Daibutsu, also known as Amitabha, is a 100-meter-tall statue built between 1995 and 2002.
5. Sendai Daikannon, Japan (100 Meters)
Sendai Daikannon is a statue of Nyoirin Kannon, also known as the Goddess of Mercy. Located in Miyagi Prefecture, it is a popular religious tourist site in Japan and features 108 Buddha statues.
6. Guishan Guanyin of Thousand Hands and Eyes, China (99 Meters)
Made of gold-plated bronze, the Guishan Guanyin of the Thousand Hands and Eyes depicts Avalokitesvara. Located in Weishan, Hunan Province, China, it has 32 arms and stands on a lotus. The Guishan Guanyin statue cost Rp 500 billion.
7. Peter the Great, Russia (98 Meters)
The Peter the Great statue is located at the western intersection of the Moskva River in the center of Moscow, Russia. Erected in 1997, it is dedicated to the legendary leader Peter the Great, one of Russia's most influential leaders who implemented several reforms.
8. Great Buddha of Thailand, Thailand (92 Meters)
Also known as The Big Buddha of Thailand, this statue is located at Wat Muang Temple, Ang Thong Province.
