The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 68.6 million doses of booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia as of Saturday, March 11, 2023. This figure represents 29.23 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target. The national COVID-19 vaccination target is recorded at 234.66 million doses.
By province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.48 million doses. The highest number of booster vaccine recipients in West Java is in Bogor Regency with 1.6 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency with 1.1 million doses, Bekasi City with 982,470 doses, Bekasi Regency with 966,020 doses, Cianjur Regency with 912,130 doses, and Bandung City with 896,550 doses.
East Java is in second place nationally for booster vaccination achievement, with 9.35 million doses. In this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, namely 1.3 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.54 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten with 5.33 million doses, 4.2 million doses, and 2.99 million doses of booster vaccines administered respectively.
