The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 82 regencies/cities with a weekly agglomeration of confirmed positive Covid-19 cases above the national average, currently recorded at 2.8 per 100,000 population/week (data as of Monday, July 18, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with confirmed positive cases exceeding 47.75 per 100,000 population/week are Kepulauan Seribu, Depok City, West Jakarta City, Bogor City, and Tangerang City, each with 47.75 per 100,000 population/week.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in confirmed positive cases in most regencies/cities outside Java. 43 regencies/cities recorded higher daily confirmed positive cases than before, while 23 regencies/cities recorded lower confirmed positive cases.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest confirmed positive cases include Palangkaraya City, Bontang City, and Badung Regency, with confirmed positive cases of 20.28, 18.87, and 17.55 per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distancing, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
