According to *Worldometers* data, the number of active Covid-19 cases in Vietnam reached 941,200 on Tuesday (July 12, 2022). This is the highest number of active cases in Southeast Asia.
Next is Singapore with 101,600 active cases, followed by Malaysia and Thailand with 35,700 and 23,600 active cases, respectively.
Indonesia is fifth with 20,300 active Covid-19 cases.
Below Indonesia are the Philippines with 14,200 active cases, Brunei Darussalam with 7,900 cases, and Myanmar with 1,600 cases.
Meanwhile, Cambodia recorded only 85 active Covid-19 cases and Timor-Leste 13 cases.
As of Monday (July 11, 2022), the total number of Indonesians infected with Covid-19 reached 6.1 million. 156,790 of them died, and 5.93 million have recovered.
The public is urged to continue to prevent the spread of Covid-19 by implementing health protocols, such as wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and limiting mobility.
