As of Sunday, November 28, 2021, East Java Province has achieved 70.29% coverage for the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This equates to 22.37 million vaccine recipients out of a target of 31.83 million people. Meanwhile, the second dose vaccination has reached 47% of the target as of yesterday.
Based on target groups, the details of the vaccination program to combat the Covid-19 virus in this province are as follows: The health workforce target was 189,910 recipients. For the first dose, vaccination was successfully administered to 189,910 individuals (145.31% of the target), and for the second dose, 140.25% of the target was achieved, or 266,340 individuals.
For public service personnel, the target was 2.07 million individuals. The first dose vaccination reportedly reached 3.71 million individuals (178.97% of the target), and the second dose reached 152.67% of the target, with 3.16 million doses administered.
For the elderly, the target was 4.34 million individuals. For the first dose, 2.32 million individuals received the vaccine (53.52% of the target). The second dose vaccination reached only 29.91% of the target, or 1.3 million individuals.
For the vulnerable general public, the target was 21.64 million individuals. For the first dose, 13.03 million individuals received the vaccine (60.56% of the target). The second dose vaccination reached only 37.01% of the target, or 7.93 million individuals.
For adolescents aged 12-17 years, the target was 3.59 million individuals. For the first dose, 2.96 million individuals received the vaccine (82.5% of the target). The second dose reached 61.97% of the target, with 2.22 million doses administered.
