British Salip, Indonesia's Covid-19 Death Toll Ranks 7th in the World

A Worldometers report shows that the total number of coronavirus deaths in Indonesia reached 143,592 as of November 11, 2021. This figure ranks seventh highest globally, surpassing the United Kingdom, which is one rank below Indonesia.

The United States holds the first position with a total of 780,102 deaths. Brazil is in second place with 610,080 coronavirus deaths.

India and Mexico follow, with 461,832 and 290,110 Covid-19 deaths respectively. Russia is next with 250,454 deaths.

Peru recorded 200,532 coronavirus deaths. Meanwhile, the UK reported 142,338 Covid-19 deaths, Italy 132,551, and Iran 127,686.

Despite the considerable total, daily Covid-19 deaths in Indonesia have been decreasing as the spread of the coronavirus becomes more controlled. Previously, Indonesia experienced a second wave of Covid-19 in July 2021, resulting in thousands of coronavirus-related deaths.

One step to reduce Covid-19 mortality is to curb the spread of the coronavirus. This can be achieved by diligently following the 3M health protocols: wearing a mask, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap.
