Based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 151 regencies/cities aggressively conducted specimen examinations exceeding the national average. Data as of Wednesday, June 1, 2022, shows a national average of 160.27 specimens per week.
The top five, starting from the highest number of specimens examined per week, are Pati (981 specimens), Deli Serdang (935 specimens), South Minahasa (933 specimens), Tarakan City (921 specimens), and Tulungagung (911 specimens).
Pati ranks first, with 981 specimens examined per week. The latest positive rate is 0.11 percent, lower than the previous week's percentage.
Next is Deli Serdang, which examined 935 specimens per week in its efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. The positive rate in this region is 0.09 percent, also lower than the previous week's ratio.
Specimen examinations in South Minahasa totaled 933 per week, Tarakan City recorded 921 specimens per week, and Tulungagung recorded 911 specimens per week.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact in various regions, based on the national Covid-19 data recapitulation, 93 regencies/cities in Indonesia actively reported daily specimen examination numbers higher than before. Meanwhile, 238 other regencies/cities recorded lower specimen examination numbers compared to the previous week.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest number of specimens examined include Deli Serdang, South Minahasa, and Tarakan City, with 935, 933, and 921 specimens examined, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to continue reducing Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
