The Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that 68.68 million doses of booster vaccines had been administered in Indonesia as of Tuesday, April 11, 2023. This figure represents 37.83 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target. The national COVID-19 vaccination target is recorded at 234.66 million doses. According to the Ministry of Health's data, the daily increase in COVID-19 booster vaccinations yesterday nationwide was recorded at 604 doses.
Based on province, West Java still holds the top position nationally with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, reaching 15.47 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency has the highest number of residents who have received the COVID-19 booster vaccine, with 1.59 million doses. Following are Bandung Regency with 1.1 million doses, Bekasi City with 979,700 doses, Bekasi Regency with 967,620 doses, Cianjur Regency with 912,510 doses, and Bandung City with 897,270 doses.
Next, East Java is in second place with 9.37 million doses. In this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, namely 1.31 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.56 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.35 million, 4.2 million, and 2.99 million booster vaccine recipients respectively.
