The Covid-19 Task Force reported that Indonesia has been free from the red zone of the coronavirus since September 13, 2021. No districts/cities in Indonesia have shown a high level of coronavirus risk for three consecutive weeks.
Only two districts/cities remain in the orange zone. This is a decrease of nine areas from the eleven districts/cities in the previous week.
Meanwhile, the number of districts/cities in the yellow zone has increased to 508. Previously, there were 500 districts/cities in the yellow zone from September 20-26, 2021.
The number of districts/cities in the green zone (due to having no new cases) has increased to four. Meanwhile, no districts/cities in Indonesia are in the green zone due to being unaffected by the coronavirus.
The absence of a red zone and the reduction in the orange zone indicate that the rate of coronavirus transmission domestically has decreased. However, the public should not be complacent.
The government continues to urge the public to diligently implement the 3M health protocols to prevent coronavirus transmission. These protocols consist of wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap.
