The Indonesian Ministry of Health recorded that 18,367,098 people in Indonesia had received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of 6 PM on Monday, July 26, 2021. This number is equivalent to 40.80% of the total recipients of the first dose, which amounted to 45,012,649 people.
Details show that the largest group of people receiving the Covid-19 vaccine is public officials. 24,987,216 people, or 144.2% of the target, have received the first dose. Of this number, 10,546,910 people, or 60.87% of the target, have received the second dose.
Next, 12,905,752 vulnerable and general members of the public have received the first dose, or 9.14% of the target. 3,298,402 of them, or 2.34% of the target, have also received the second dose of the corona vaccine.
The elderly group is also a priority of the government's vaccination program. The number of elderly people who have received the Covid-19 vaccine is 4,780,438 for the first dose and 3,073,295 for the second dose. These numbers represent only 22.18% and 14.26% of the target, respectively.
Furthermore, the government has also prioritized the provision of vaccines to health workers. 1,592,432 health workers have received the first dose and 1,448,425 have received the second dose. These numbers reach 108.42% and 98.62% of the target, respectively.
Meanwhile, 746,811 children aged 12-17 years have received the first dose, or 2.8% of the target. Of this number, only 66 have received the second dose. This is because child vaccination only began at the end of June 2021.
Although vaccination is underway, the public is urged to remain disciplined in implementing the 3M health protocols: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. This is important to prevent the spread of corona.
