Today's Update on COVID-19 Data by Province: West Java Reports the Highest Increase (Thursday, April 14, 2022)

Indonesia today recorded an additional 833 Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 6.04 million as of Thursday, April 14, 2022. The five provinces with the highest number of new cases today are West Java, Banten, Central Java, DKI Jakarta, and East Java.

1. West Java recorded an increase of 229 cases

West Java ranks first. The increase in cases here was 229, or a 0.02 percent increase compared to the previous day's cumulative total, which had reached 1.1 million. With this addition, the total number of cases in West Java is now 1.1 million.

In addition to recording the highest increase in cases, West Java also recorded nine deaths. Thus, the total number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic in West Java has reached 15,702. The seven-day positive rate in West Java is 2.02 percent, while the Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) for Covid-19 hospitals is reported to be five percent.

2. Banten recorded an increase of 127 cases

Banten ranks second. The increase in Covid-19 cases here was 127. The seven-day positive rate in this region is 2.67 percent. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of people tested for Covid-19 in this province is recorded at 35.41 per week.
3. Central Java recorded an increase of 92 cases

4. DKI Jakarta recorded an increase of 72 cases
