The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 22 regencies/cities with a number of deaths due to Covid-19 above the national average, currently recorded at 0.01 per 100,000 population per week, data as of Friday, February 10, 2023.
The five regencies/cities with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths, exceeding 0.33 per 100,000 population per week, are Tomohon City, Salatiga City, Banda Aceh City, Malang City, and Palangkaraya City, with values of 0.89, 0.49, 0.35, 0.34, and 0.33 per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in the number of deaths due to Covid-19 in most regencies/cities outside Java. A daily increase in Covid-19 deaths higher than previous days was recorded in one regency/city.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths include Tomohon City, Banda Aceh City, and Palangkaraya City, with death rates of 0.89, 0.35, and 0.33 per 100,000 population per week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
