The Indonesian government has approved 11 Covid-19 vaccine brands for public use. However, not all of these brands are equally favored or trusted by the public.
According to a survey by the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, the majority of Indonesians trust the Sinopharm and Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines the most. 35.1% of Indonesian respondents trust these two Chinese-made vaccines more than other brands.
Furthermore, 34.4% of Indonesians trust the Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines more. Meanwhile, 9.9% trust AstraZeneca.

A smaller percentage of the population trusts Sputnik-V and Nanocovax, each at 1.5%. Following this, 0.8% trust Covishield and Covaxin.
Meanwhile, 16.8% of Indonesian respondents stated that they trust any available Covid-19 vaccine brand.
This survey was conducted among 1,677 respondents in Southeast Asia in 2021, with 7.8% of them from Indonesia.
The survey was conducted online (89.9%) and offline (10.1%). The online survey used the Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) method.
