The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 285 regencies/cities have achieved first dose vaccination rates above the national average, currently recorded at 87.73 percent as of Thursday, March 10, 2022.
The five top-performing regencies/cities with first dose vaccination rates exceeding 158.27 percent are Central Jakarta, Yogyakarta City, South Jakarta, Denpasar City, and Mojokerto City, with respective rates of 261.25 percent, 219.46 percent, 181.53 percent, 164.98 percent, and 158.27 percent.
A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the first dose vaccination rate in most regencies/cities outside Java is increasing. A daily increase in first dose vaccination rates compared to previous days was recorded in 378 regencies/cities, while two regencies/cities recorded lower first dose vaccination rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest first dose vaccination rates include Denpasar City, Metro City, and Central Halmahera, with respective rates of 164.98 percent, 144.67 percent, and 140.37 percent.
The government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
