The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least four regencies/cities have a weekly BOR above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 8.01 percent. This is down from 9.39 percent last week, according to data from Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR, exceeding 55.71 percent, are Fakfak, Tapin, East Belitung, Majene, and North Musi Rawas, with values of 100 percent, 71.43 percent, 70.83 percent, 62.5 percent, and 55.71 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 52 regencies/cities, while 107 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Tapin, and East Belitung, with BORs of 100 percent, 71.43 percent, and 70.83 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
