Most Jakarta Residents Consider the Risk of Contracting Covid-19 to Be Very Low

The LaporCovid-19 citizen coalition, in collaboration with the Social Resilience Lab, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), mapped the perception of risk among Jakarta residents regarding Covid-19. The majority of respondents considered their risk of contracting Covid-19 to be very low.

54% of respondents considered the likelihood of contracting Covid-19 to be very low. This perception was similar for their closest contacts and those in their residential area, with 50% and 42% respectively considering the likelihood of Covid-19 infection to be very low.

The survey was conducted from May 29th to June 20th, 2020. A quota sampling method was used, with variables based on the population per sub-district (kelurahan). The online survey was conducted via the Qualtrics platform and distributed through WhatsApp. A total of 206,550 people responded, with 154,471 valid responses.
