The top five, ranked by the number of people tested per week, are Sukoharjo (990 people), Padang City (976 people), Pontianak City (943 people), Pandeglang (934 people), and Nganjuk (925 people).
Sukoharjo ranks first. With a population of 903,750, 990 people were tested in the last week. The latest positive rate is 0.1 percent, lower than the previous week.
Next is Padang City. Its population is 997,360. In an effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, 976 people were tested last week. The positive rate is 0.41 percent, higher than the previous week.
Covid-19 testing in Pontianak City totaled 943 people last week, Pandeglang recorded 934, and Nganjuk 925.
In anticipation of the Omicron impact, national Covid-19 data shows 158 regencies/cities actively reporting a higher number of daily tests in the last week compared to the previous week. Meanwhile, 215 other regencies/cities recorded a lower number of tests last week compared to the previous week.
Areas outside Java with the highest number of tests last week include Padang City, Pontianak City, and Mimika, with 976, 943, and 904 people tested, respectively.
