BRI Liga 1 2023/2024: Persib Tops the List of Longest Unbeaten Football Clubs!

The 2023/2024 BRI Liga 1 season kicked off on June 1, 2023. According to Kompas.com, after matchweek 16, Persib Bandung is the football club with the longest unbeaten streak this season.

The Maung Bandung team has been undefeated for nine consecutive matches. Their last defeat was in matchweek 7.

At that time, Persib suffered a narrow 2-1 loss to Persis Solo at the Manahan Stadium on August 8, 2023.

Subsequently, Persib coach Bojan Hodak led his team to a resurgence. As a result, Maung Bandung is currently ranked 4th in the BRI Liga 1 2023/24 standings after matchweek 16.

"We've been unbeaten in the last nine games, which is good. But ultimately, every match is a new challenge and we have to focus on the next game," said Bojan, as quoted by Kompas.com on Thursday (26/10/2023).

Persib will play against PSS Sleman on Saturday (28/10/2023). Persib winger, Beckham Putra, is motivated to maintain the team's positive trend and wants to extend their unbeaten streak to 10 matches.

"We always want to do better in the next match. Because we could be unbeaten in 10 matches and that's good for the team, hopefully we can achieve maximum results," he said.

Another club with a long unbeaten streak up to matchweek 16 of the BRI Liga 1 2023/2024 is Borneo FC, with 7 consecutive matches.

Borneo FC can also extend their unbeaten record if they can defeat Dewa United in matchweek 17 on Saturday (28/10/2023).
