Average Years of Schooling in Kolaka Regency Increases to 9.35 Years

The average years of schooling (AYS) for residents aged 25 and over in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi, was 9.35 years in 2023.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the AYS for residents in this region is above the average for Southeast Sulawesi Province, which was 9.31 years in 2023.

The AYS for Kolaka residents increased by 0.29 years (3.2%) compared to the previous year, which was 9.06 years. Meanwhile, over the past five years, the AYS has increased by 0.78 years (9.1%).

This AYS indicates that the average resident of Kolaka only attends school up to the ninth grade. This AYS is better than the national average AYS of 8.77 years in 2023.
