Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, stated that although there will be subsequent COVID-19 booster vaccinations, it will still depend on an individual's physical condition. If a person's immune system response is strong, it will weaken the virus entering the body.
"It's true that antibody levels will decrease after six months, but when the virus enters the body, the immune system response within the body will weaken the virus," said Budi, as reported by Detik.com on Monday, August 22, 2022.
Therefore, the second booster vaccination is crucial for maintaining immunity against the coronavirus. Currently, the booster vaccination is still targeted at HCWs. In the future, the government will open opportunities for the general public to receive booster vaccinations.
