The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 42 districts/cities with weekly inpatient utilization above the national average, currently recorded at 0.35 patients per 100,000 population/week, data as of Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
The five districts/cities with the highest inpatient utilization, exceeding 1.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, are Tana Tidung, Bangka Selatan, Madiun City, Banjar City, and Kediri City, with values of 3.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.33 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.12 patients per 100,000 population/week, 1.05 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 1.02 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
A recapitulation of national Covid data from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in inpatient utilization in most districts/cities outside Java. Daily inpatient utilization higher than previously recorded was observed in three districts/cities, while two districts/cities recorded lower inpatient utilization.
Areas outside Java with the highest inpatient utilization include Tana Tidung, Bangka Selatan, and Bangka Barat, with inpatient utilization rates of 3.1 patients per 100,000 population/week, 2.33 patients per 100,000 population/week, and 0.92 patients per 100,000 population/week, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
